Rage Against the Machine Live and Uncensored!

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment

This morning members of the rap/metal band Rage Against the Machine were interviewed on Radio Five Live to discuss the battle for Christmas Number 1. They praised how members of the ‘Rage Against The Machine For Christmas No.1’ Facebook group can unite together to create “a wonderful statement” over manufactured music in the industry. They weren’t too complimentary about Simon Cowell either as they describe him as “an interesting character who seems to have profited greatly out of humiliating people on live television”.

RATM were then invited to play ‘Killing In The Name Of’ on the show, where they we asked not to say the expletives.

I can only imagine their response was ‘F**k you, I won’t do what you tell me!”

December 1, 2009 Leave a comment

Today is World AIDS Day and Twitter has gone (RED) to raise awareness of AIDS in Africa.

To help raise awareness, Twitter’s sign-in page has been turned red. Tweets can also change colour from there usual black to red if the hashtags #red or #laceupsavelives are added.

World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December every year and is dedicated to raising understanding of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
